PEN STROKE COLLECTIVE
PS Collective is composed of Black independent media and publishing professionals who work toward the success of each member’s projects. We create small teams that share labor, energy and ideas to see each project through to completion, evaluation and the next level.
Our community of writers, editors, illustrators, graphic artists, filmmakers and PR professionals—to name a few—is a dynamic environment, where synchronicity, resonance and magic can flow.
We are building Pen Stroke Media Collective to tap into the Ancient spirit of collective work that we remember in our bones, as another avenue to support Black literary arts and artists. Artists are our modern day jeli—keepers of culture and history, nourishing our creative roots through words, images and sounds.
The mission of Next Level Publications Group is celebrating Black writers and writings. PS Collective is the heart of our work. The Collective provides a platform where creatives can exponentially magnify each other’s work.

STORYTIME
Beginning in January 2024, we will visit K-Doctoral classrooms and nursing homes to read, write and share stories. The stories will come from all of the types of writing that we feature: fiction, nonfiction, poetry/spoken word, lyrics and scripts for stage and screen. StoryTime brings the African tradition of telling stories around the campfire to life, inspiring a love of reading and sharing for all ages.
